A low or poor score may indicate issues with ad relevance, expected click-through rate, or landing page quality. You may need to add a few relevant words to your landing page to match your adverts. Also adjust your ads and keep monitoring the rating.
Conversion Tracking: What to Check: Ensure conversion tracking is set up correctly on your website and in the campaign. This is crucial for understanding which keywords and ads are driving valuable customer activity.
Negative Keywords: What to Check: Utilise negative keywords to prevent your ads from showing for searches that aren't relevant to your business. This will reduce wasted spend and improve campaign relevancy.
Ad Extensions: What to Check: Make sure you are using ad extensions (these are the extra sections that show on some ads, like a link to an information page) to enhance your ads’ visibility and increase click-through rates. Check if features like site links, callouts, and structured snippets are relevant and updated. Not only do they provide extra information for the searcher but your ads will take up a lot more space and be more prominent compared to an ad without extensions
Performance Metrics: What to Check: Regularly review performance metrics such as CTR (Click-Through Rate), CPC (Cost Per Click), and conversion rates. These metrics will help you gauge the effectiveness of your campaigns and identify areas for improvement. Then keep adjusting to get improvement.
